Adam Cashin

Bodhran / Percussion

Adam Cashin puts the thump into The Kilkennys with his fascinating bodhran technique. He has often been described as making the goat skin sound like a full drum kit and once you see him perform you will understand why.

Growing up with his brother Dave in Ballyfoyle, County Kilkenny, the Cashins were surrounded by Irish music from an early age. Their father Adrian is well known in Kilkenny as an entertainer and great banjo player. It is no wonder the brothers mastered their chosen instruments at such a young age.

Adam has many sporting achievements and is an avid hurling fan. He also likes to be the dare devil of the band and enjoys action activities such as sky diving and bungee jumping. He is a qualified glass blower and breeds St Bernard dogs and exotic animals when he is not on stage with the band.
